구글은 "지속적으로 잘못발급된 인증서가 증가하고 있다"고 밝히며, 시만텍에서 발급한 TLS인증서를 신뢰하지 않고 있다.
구글은 시만텍이 지난 몇 년동안 발급한 적어도 30,000개의 인증서를 검증하지 못했다.
시만텍은 크롬이 신뢰하지 않는 SSL 인증서를 재발급할 것이라고 밝혔다.
