On May 13, 2014, Kaspersky Lab releases a new patch K for Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.

Patch K is automatically installed once antivirus databases of Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Kaspersky Internet Security version13.0.1.4190 are updated.

Patch K eliminates the following problems:

• Issue with password input in the Internet Explorer 11 browser when the check box Enable secure keyboard input for Safe Money is selected.
• Problem displaying Virtual keyboard, Block dangerous websites module, and Kaspersky URL Advisorplug-ins in Mozilla Firefox versions 26 - 30.
• OpenSSL Heartbleed vulnerability issue.
• Subscription status update issue.
• Problem opening https websites in the Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers. 
• Issue with the Internet Explorer web browser not responding on Windows 8.1.1 x86 (16609 build) withKaspersky Anti-Virus & Kaspersky Internet Security installed.

To install Patch K, perform the following actions:

1. Run an update in Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Kaspersky Internet Security.
2. Once the databases are successfully updated, restart your computer.
3. Once the system starts, open the main application window.
4. In the lower left corner of the main application window, click the Support link.
5. When Patch K has been successfully installed, you will see the letter k in the Application version line.
