NSA, 6개월간 데이터수집 가능

미국 해외첩보감시법원(FISC)는 NSA에 180일까지 핸드폰 메타데이터 수집을 계속할 수 있도록 연장해 주었다. 이 프로그램은 애국법이 만료되었을 때, 5월 말에 중단되었다. 지난 6월초에 통과된 미국 자유법은 제한된 방식으로 데이터 수집을 할 수 있는 조항이 포함되었으나, 5개월동안 발효되지 않는다.
